WandaVision episode 8 runs through Wanda’s traumatic life
WandaVision episode 8 — out February 26 on Disney+ and Disney+ Hotstar — is, in some ways, the least necessary episode of the series. Narratively speaking, the Marvel Cinematic Universe series doesn't go anywhere in WandaVision episode 8. It's all devoted to the past, mostly that of Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) with some early sprinklings for our WandaVision villain Agatha Harkness (Kathryn Hahn) who revealed herself last week. And we get little new, in terms of details, from any of the flashbacks as Agatha forces Wanda to take a trip through the latter's life. It's largely providing answers we already had or could have guessed. But where WandaVision episode 8 saves itself is in how it recreates the past, featuring some wonderful touching moments.

To be honest, we all kinda saw it coming—but that didn’t make the big
WandaVision reveal about Katherine Hahn’s character any less fun when it played out with an Agatha theme song on Friday’s episode of the Disney+ series.
A quick recap for those of you who either don’t watch
Wanda or have been under the mind control of a certain Sarkovian: In episode seven, “Breaking The Fourth Wall,” it’s revealed that Agatha (Katherine Hahn) has secretly been pulling a lot of the strings behind the scenes in Wanda’s (diss-track survivor Elizabeth Olsen) oasis of mind-controlled domestic bliss, Westview. We now know nosy neighbor Agatha is actually Agatha Harkness and that she sabotaged the talent show in “Don’t Touch That Dial” and put Herb (David Payton) under her spell in “Now In Color.” She’s even responsible for Fake Pietro’s (Evan Peters) arrival in Westview. Oh yeah, and she killed Sparky.

Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen)’s dream life has become a nightmare. Her kids, Billy (Julian Hilliard) and Tommy (Jett Klyne), complain that their video game controls have turned into a deck of UNO cards. Wanda’s bottle of almond milk changes to dairy, which I consider an improvement, but I respect Wanda’s dietary choices. The house itself begins a spontaneous remodel, as if the series
WandaVision’s spoofing this week is the
Property Brothers. That damn stork from “Now In Color” has even returned. Everything’s falling apart around her, and she can’t fix it.

After expanding the boundaries of the Hex in “All-New Halloween Spooktacular,” Wanda is now overwhelmed with guilt, and she struggles to even get out of bed. This doesn’t seem like the superpowered terrorist S.W.O.R.D. Director Haywood (Josh Stamberg) is convinced he’s battling. Wanda has sentenced herself to a day of house arrest in schlubby clothes as “punishment for her reckless behavior.” She’s hiding from her own Shangri-La. Vision (Paul Bettany) hasn’t returned home, and she doesn’t seem to care. She definitely doesn’t want to see her “brother” Pietro (Evan Peters) again. She’s all alone, almost exactly in the same emotional space she was when this all started.

WandaVision episode 6 takes place in the ‘90s in Westview
WandaVision episode 6 — out February 12 on Disney+ and Disney+ Hotstar — upped the stakes and the scare. In a Halloween-themed episode that included plenty of Marvel Easter eggs, WandaVision showed the capabilities (and limitations) of its title characters. Vision (Paul Bettany) attempted to leave Westview to get help for those living within, but as he visibly disintegrated in front of us, Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) expanded the town limits itself — which ate up much of the S.W.O.R.D. infrastructure and personnel, including Dr. Darcy Lewis (Kat Dennings), setting up the endgame of the MCU's first Disney+ series. (There's only three episodes left.)

WandaVision mid-season trailer teases the back half of the season

With nearly half of the first season behind us, Marvel is getting fans ready for the back half of WandaVision with an intriguing new trailer.
The show follows Wanda Maximoff a.k.a. Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) as they settle down in the mysterious town of Westview.
Throughout the first four episodes, fans have seen this couple presented through the tropes of 1950s, 1960s and 1970s sitcoms, with the trailer (via Marvel YouTube) showcasing a shift into the 1980s and 1990s, plus their version of Halloween.

WandaVision: Is Another Marvel Villain Hiding in Plain Sight?

WandaVision: Is Another Marvel Villain Hiding in Plain Sight?
We're officially a few episodes into
WandaVision, and its impact on the Marvel Cinematic Universe is gradually making itself known. The series, which is the inaugural Marvel Cinematic Universe installment to debut exclusively on Disney+, has been expanding on the Marvel Comics mythos of both Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and The Vision (Paul Bettany), and has teased quite a lot of major characters in the process. This has led to quite a lot of theories surrounding the film's villain, many of which have dived into the weirder aspects of Wanda and Vision's lore. But amid all of the speculation surrounding Mephisto and The Grim Reaper, there's another villain that the series could also be baking in -- the High Evolutionary.

WandaVision recap: Season 1, Episodes 4, "We Interrupt This Program"

I clearly remember the first time I saw
The Prisoner episode, “Living In Harmony.” The classic, world-building intro is gone and the story immediately begins with star Patrick McGoohan, dressed like a cowboy, riding a horse somewhere in the American West. I was intrigued, then increasingly frustrated, as it seemed liked the narrative would never return to what I’d expected. Indeed, all the standard trappings of the series—The Village, the spy vs. spy plots—were absent until the episode’s shocking climax, which remains one of my favorite moments in the entire series.

WandaVision: Did Marvel Just Reveal Agnes' True Identity?

WandaVision: Did Marvel Just Reveal Agnes' True Identity?
WandaVision, and fans were treated to a brand new clip this morning that featured a closer look at the agents of SWORD. The new footage showed Monica Rambeau/Geraldine (Teyonah Parris) and Jimmy Woo (Randall Park) examining the force field around Westview. We also caught a glimpse of a SWORD board, that features all of the residents of Wanda's (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision's (Paul Bettany) town. Well, almost everyone... the board doesn't include Dottie (Emma Caulfield), which has us wondering once again if she's the show's true antagonist. Dottie's absence isn't the only thing missing from the board. Every townsperson has a license, except for Agnes (Kathryn Hahn). Could this be another clue to her character's identity?
