Developing news in campbell countythe abandoned dan river plant caught fire today in brookneal and it continues to burn at this hour. People who work in the area tell wfxr news they noticed the thick smoke around 3 this afternoon. According to the town manager, the plant has been closed for about 10 years and was major employer in the area. The plant has been empty since it closed and was in the process of being demolished.
