Since my family came from china we knew of and heard the invasion of japan in china, korea, and other areas, and the movement of japan there. But we really did not feel that japan would be touching hawaii. The other reason was we had so many japanese family, friends in hawaii that were like family that it really did not occur to us about japan invading the United States in particular hawaii.
