In her 60 Minutes profile, Simone Biles discussed a wide variety of topics including the mental challenges she faced after the Tokyo Olympics were postponed and her continued calls for transparency and accountability from her sport’s governing bodies. She shares insights into what motivates her in the gym and expectations for herself at the upcoming Games. Biles also released a first look at her upcoming docu-series with Facebook Watch entitled Simone Versus Herself. The series will explore not only Biles’s unmatched gymnastic accomplishments, but also shine a light on her remarkable resilience and perseverance throughout the many challenges she’s faced from growing up in foster care to struggling with mental health and more. Biles and Octagon Senior Vice President of Olympics, Janey Miller, serve as executive producers for the series, which premieres this summer. Additionally, Biles participated in a People Magazine Celebrity Essay Special for Black History Month, which features Black celebrities paying tribute to trailblazers in their fields. Religion of Sports announced today it is teaming up with Facebook to deliver 
Simone vs Herself, a Facebook Watch Original docuseries offering a unique look into the life of superstar gymnast Simone Biles. The series will premiere in the summer of 2021 exclusively on Facebook Watch. 
Simone vs Herself will follow the journey of one of the greatest athletes of all time as she seeks to further challenge herself and what is possible as a gymnast. A 19-time World Champion and four-time Olympic gold medalist, Simone has already reached the mountaintop. But as the series will reveal, there are peaks left to scale while balancing adversity – from adjusting to a postponed Olympics to conquering the challenges that come with success and the weight of enormous expectations. While the sport of gymnastics is filled with talented athletes, and competing on the world stage is a unique accomplishment in and of itself, this is the journey of Simone in pursuit of being the very best she can be.

Simone Biles Docuseries Gets Greenlight at Facebook Watch Ahead of Tokyo Olympics

Simone Biles, superstar gymnast and Olympic champion, will be the subject of a new Facebook Watch original series following her as she gets ready to compete in the postponed Tokyo Olympic Games — expected to be her last run at a medal.
“Simone vs Herself” is slated to premiere this summer, timed for the Tokyo Olympics (currently scheduled for July 23-Aug. 8, 2021). The show is produced by Religion of Sports, the sports media company co-founded by Tom Brady, Gotham Chopra and Michael Strahan.
