The month of April recorded a quadruple crown in terms of unemployment rates, as they dropped at the national, state and county levels, according to preliminary data provided by the State of California Employment Development Department (EDD).
If only California would follow Georgia There has been a lot said about Georgia’s new voting law. A lot of lies have been spread about it by the Left. Why they are lying about it I can only imagine they are not concerned about voter fraud if because they benefit from it. Biden himself calls the law “un-American” and describes it as a “blatant attack on the Constitution and good conscious.” It is nothing of the sort. It is, however, all about safeguarding voting integrity. To vote now in Georgia, you must show a state driver’s license number, ID card number, date of...
Prince Philip came to our county in 1983 The death of Prince Philip took me back a few years. In March 1983 Queen Elizabeth and Philip came to California. I was able to snatch press credentials to be at Sutter’s Fort when they visited there. We were told ahead of time not to speak to the queen unless spoken to. You know the old saying accredited to Albert Einstein: “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.” The first example of “insanity” was how Mayor Lopez scheduled a special meeting on March 4 to talk about, for a fourth time, an appointment to the vacant council seat after seeing the steely resolve of Linda Ryno and Bret Silveira to appoint only Laurie Smith. Did the mayor honestly ex...
Experience is needed for this City Council Chris Vierra must be shaking his head and thinking of asking Ceres residents: “Miss me yet?” If you want a reason why Ceres needs experience on the City Council, look no farther than Javier Lopez’s lack of experience. For decades I marveled at how Ceres city leaders remained free from scandal and controversy as other city councils and members in Hughson, Riverbank and Turlock experienced their own embarrassments. Now it seems like the new Ceres City Council is the laughingstock of the county. Lots of folks are now asking what I ...
