Jim Garrison also read Crafard s testimony and he marked it up with comments.
Volume XIII, page 404-405. Garrison is interested in Crafard s stint in the U.S. Army. He was only in for thirteen months and was then discharged for medical reasons.
Volume XIII, page 408-409. Garrison makes a note about Crafard s remarkable memory and then wondered about Crafard s work at the carnival - as what? A sharpshooter? Then Garrison marveled at his memory once again, Did you ever see a memory
like this Every week in order. All Crafard was doing was just going over all of his places of employment.

Did Woodrow Hardy see Shaw, Ferrie, and Oswald together?

Phone 254-5251
I m sending you this information in case it may be of help to you on the Clay Shaw trial.
I met Mr. Hardy at a New Year s Eve party. During our conversation he told me was a private contractor and remodeled homes. He moved here from New Orleans, and told me he remodeled Clay Shaw s home there. He said at the time he saw many Cuban type men visit there and that one man in particular (the name I have forgotten), who denied to you that he knew Shaw, but stood outside the Shaw residence handing out papers and could not but help know Shaw.

Did Leander D'avy see Oswald with the Three Tramps?

The FBI transcribed the tape that D avy gave them. Here is the transcription:
He says in the tape that his lie detector test came out negative. But, given D avy s mental state, I cannot tell if he means he passed or failed the test.
The FBI then searched their files for information on D avy. And, they found an interesting tidbit:
Leander D avy was interviewed by Belford Lawson and Jack Moriarty of the HSCA on June 23, 1977 in Washington. It appears that D avy just showed up:
I have the full 33-page transcript, but I ll be only be posting excerpts here.
D avy recounts his meeting of Oswald in 1962 - of course, we know this is impossible because Oswald is living in Dallas. He had earlier told Garrison 1963. But, he then starts to tell the story of going into the Court two weeks before the assassination:

Did David Ferrie Confess in a Hotel Room?

In one of the scene s in Oliver Stone s film
JFK, a distraught David Ferrie is put up in a hotel room, and confesses to Garrison investigator Lou Ivon. Here is the scene (page 89-91);
Ferrie: I haven t slept since that shit article came out. Why d you guys have to get me involved, Lou?
Lou: Did we get you involved? Or did Shaw, Dave?
Ferrie: Cocksucking faggot. He got me by the balls.
Lou: What do you mean?
Ferrie: Photographs, compromising stuff. He ll use them, too. Agency plays for keeps. I knew Oswald. He was in my Civil Air Patrol unit. I taught him everything. He was a wannabe, you know. No one really liked him. Thought he was a snitch. But I treated him good. He talked about his kid. He really wanted … to grow up with a chance. But, what s this? What s going on? Don t let him in.

Did the Clay Shaw Trial Jury Believe There Was a Conspiracy?

Some conspiracy books claim that while Clay Shaw was acquitted, the jury also believed there was a conspiracy in the JFK assassination. It s a bit of a nonsensical question since the jury were not asked to make any determination of a conspiracy in the assassination. And, while Garrison might have put the Warren Report on trial, Shaw s defense team was focused only on getting a not guilty plea. They had neither the time, the resources, or the interest in putting on a defense of the Warren Report.
Here is what two of the conspiracy books say about this issue. Bill Davy, in his book

My Interview with Al Beauboeuf...

On Friday evening, November 22, 1963, David Ferrie drove to Houston with two of his friends, Al Beauboeuf, and Mel Coffey. This trip has become the stuff of legends!
Just have a look at page 7 of Garrison s
On The Trail of The Assassins, and you ll find skepticism about the trip:
And the more he talked, the less his story held together. For example, when I asked him the reason for his departure from New Orleans only one hour following the assassination, he responded that he had driven to Houston to go ice skating. When I asked him why he had chosen one of the heaviest thunderstorms in many years as the occasion for his ice skating trip, he had no adequate answer.

Perry Russo's First Lie Detector Test...

Russo failed the first two questions and the polygraph operator, Roy Jacob, thought he was a psychopath. Jacob knew he had to tell somebody that things were amiss but he also knew his job at the Jefferson Parish sheriff s office would be at risk.
Here is the internal report of the test sent to Jim Garrison (note that many documents use Jacobs, but his name was Jacob):
The polygraph test was administered on March 8, 1967, well before the preliminary hearing on March 14, 1967. The memo was typed up two months later. Garrison put Russo on the stand despite the report from Roy Jacob.

Lt. Edward O'Donnell Testifies about Perry Russo's Lie Detector Test...

Judge Herbert Christenberry held three days of hearings from January 25-27, 1971 to determine if Clay Shaw should stand trial for perjury. We ve already posted highlights of Jim Garrison s testimony. Today, we post the entire testimony of Lt. Edward O Donnell who conducted lie detector tests for Garrison in the 1960s.
Before we start, here is the report that O Donnell submitted to Garrison regarding Perry Russo s lie detector test:
This was actually the second attempt to give Perry Russo a lie detector test More on the first test tomorrow.
Here is Lt. Edward O Donnell s testimony from January 26, 1971:
In 1993, Patricia Lambert spoke to Captain James Kruebbe who confirmed that Vernon Bundy did indeed fail his lie detector test. Clay Shaw s attorneys were not notified of this until they were approached by Edward O Donnell - and he only approached them after the trial started. He ended up testifying on behalf of Clay Shaw in 1969.
