SIR – I appreciate that not everyone can afford to pay for private dentistry but, contrary to many myths, it isn’t that expensive, and is clearly preferable to DIY dentistry (“Elderly fear having to resort to ‘DIY dentistry’”, report, December 26).
SIR – The warnings of dire consequences if we don’t follow official “advice” amount to another Project Fear, this time to ensure that we buy into anthropogenic climate change and meekly accept the drive to net zero and its costs.

Water and sewer rates are going up in Sioux Lookout for the first time in six years. Council has approved the new rates by a 5-2 recorded vote after the increase was put on hold last year due to COVID-19. Ratepayers will be asked to pay $4.78 more a month based on average monthly household water use of 14 cubic metres of water.
