0 we get why the president didn t want to admit this was a case of terrorism, because, in fact, the entire part of his re-election on national security was, i killed osama bin laden, al qaeda is on its heels. they didn t want to admit it was an act of terrorism. but there s a bigger problem here, and that is that despite the fact that they knew that it was an act of terrorism, they kept pressing back. they kept trying to go back to this other story. i think, honestly speaking, that s one of the reasons why people are so perplexed. they keep trying to cover up what actually happened. it makes people think something worse happened. david, i want to ask you david, let me ask you about victoria nuland. she took further issue with the talking points several hours later. she wrote these don t resolve all thimy issues or those of my build build iing leadership. she meant the leadership of course of events, how often is something like this edited, revised? i mean, if you look at some ....

0 thomas, we heard a lot from bill clinton recently because he was sort of overseeing a lot 6 this legislation back in the 90s in doma s don t ask don t tell. he said recently he had sleepless nights over those pieces of legislation. he wrote an op ed defending where he was in his mind. doesn t seem to jive with the new york times reporting about bill clinton urging john kerry in 2004 to come out against gay marriage. but you know, that s okay. we can take him at his word. now, do you think history is going to judge bill clinton, 50 years from now, for doma and don t ask don t tell, as sort of acceptable within the span of the moment? or do you think we will look back and see those as serious bliets on his record? a you you point out, i think history will look back to think that was acceptable at the time for what was in front of president clinton. obviously, showing contrition through that op ed that came out earlier in march and following in the next week or so with secretary of s ....
Very difficult to deal with. thank you so much, michelle franzen. let me go to a psychologist jeff gardie gardier, and we know from all of the efforts here at msnbc, that it was a guy with a history of mental illness of some kind, and he got up this morning at his mother s home where they were living together, and killed her. took guns that were are registered in her name including an assault rifle and two semi u semiautomatic pistols, and headed off to the school where she taught, and then after killing the administrators and the adults and killing students to the point of 20 together now, and what can you put together, josh, to get to anything if that is all you knew? no, it is hard to know exactly what is going on with this person, because there are a lot of people in this country who have mental illness and at any one given time it is estimated that 25% of this ....
Severe mental illness. that s all we can make as far as an educated guess. but legal sanity i believe is the ability to know the difference between right and wrong. well, he knew how do they determine that in this case? well, in this case we don t know what he was thinking as far as what was the difference from right and wrong. but certainly what he did was extremely wrong. it was extremely horrific. and you have to go back to the premorbid history. josh can speak about that. as to why someone would do that if we don t see a very long history of psychiatric illness, and we don t really know what his history was, whether he was on medications, whether he had problems with compliance with meds, or whether his family knew that something was going on, which i suspect they probably did. this does not come out of the blue. josh, i ve read about people who are hired killers. and their ability, like doctors have to deal in blood, some people deal in the other kind of blood, killing ....
