BukuKas, a startup targeted on digitizing Indonesia’s small companies, has raised $50 million in Sequence B funding. The spherical included participation from Gokul Rajaram, the DoorDash government, and Taavet Hinrikus, co-founder and chief government officer of TransferWise.
This information comes simply 4 months after BukuKas introduced a $10 million Sequence A led by Sequoia Capital India. BukuKas will use its Sequence B to rent for its engineering and product groups in Jakarta and Bangalore, and launch new companies for retailers.

Indonesia’s BukuKas, which offers a bookkeeping app for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), on Tuesday announced it has raised $50 million in Series B funding.
The round was backed by angel investors Gokul Rajaram and TransferWise co-founder Taavet Hinrikus, per a statement.
The funding comes four months after BukuKas’s $10 million Series A round, led by Sequoia Capital India, in January. 
Starting with a digital ledger app for small business owners, BukuKas today also provides inventory management, invoicing, and analytics to its clients.

Chennai: The garment manufacturers of Tamil Nadu's Tiruppur, the knitwear hub of the country, are a worried lot as the second wave of Covid pandemic sweeps across the world. Export orders worth millions of dollars stand cancelled as many European countries see shutdowns in wake of surging Covid cases.
Tiruppur Exporters Association President Raja M. Shanmugham, talking to IANS, said: "The garment industry of Tiruppur is facing a major crisis as several European countries are facing a huge surge in Covid cases.... Already most of the top brands and showrooms are shut in Europe and they can't even take our pending orders, and hence the possibilities of new orders are bleak."

Singapore, January 18 (ANI): Last week, BukuKas, an Indonesian-based digital bookkeeping start-up, announced it had raised USD 10 million in Series A funding which was led by venture capital firm Sequoia Capital India, a subsidiary of famed global tech investment company Sequoia Capital.
The latest capital injection brings Buku Kastotal funding to date to USD22 million. Investors involved in Series A include Saison Capital, January Capital, Founder bank Capital, Cambium Grove, Endeavor Catalyst and Amrish Rau
BukuKas is a mobile credit tracking and accounting application designed to help Micro, Small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) manage their cash. It digitises physical financial record-keeping by assisting businesses to record their financial statements, monitors their sales, profit and credit automatically. As a result, it enables MSMEs to better monitor and manage cash flows and ultimately makes it easier for them to track overall business processes and performance.
