three people. we know two of the three people. we know two of the three people who died were university students from nottingham university and we know that one of the people injured in the attack and the people injured in the attack and the incident with the van is critically in hospital and two others suffered less serious injuries. we don t have details about the other person who died at the moment. hopefully the press conference will reveal some more details. for police they say a 31 year old man is in custody, arrest and under suspicion of murder and no one else is involved and you can see from nottingham that some of the cordons have been listed although police have kept a pretty tight grip on things in the city centre as they do their investigations, gather evidence and so on. i think the key for police and what it is puzzling everyone is to find out what was behind this attack. what were the motives, what was the reason for it. it appears on the face of it, a sort of
Starmers family home has been targeted by radical Just Stop Oil protests. This comes months oil protests. This comes months after rishi sunak home was scaled by greenpeace activists. I think politicians should expect a certain degree of protest of people coming up to them. Of all the rest of it, but to target a family home where your children are, where your relatives who have no interest in front line politics, that surely crosses a line. I think it has a chilling effect. Actually, the fear that you could be doorstepped like that by a protest group or by outside your own family home. Your children may be in there, your loved ones may be in there. Um, in terms of identifying where you live. And so on. And this group, this, this group effect, this, this intimidate after intimidate action going after the family of politicians is its something that clearly this group of protesters have done to, to cause outrage, to cause headlines.
