10 56 this morning. A 2. 5 hit near napa and before that a 2. 0 hit in the same area. This is the latest of a series of aftershocks this morning all within two hours but the first one this morning was biggest a 3. 9 near American Canyon at 5 33, the next one two minutes later a 2. 7, and followed by a 2. 8 aftershock at 6 12. Then a 3. 0 struck a 6 45. Lets check in with Lawrence Karnow in the weather center. It was a wild morning this morning seeing earthquake after earthquake really just several minutes apart for three of them but yeah, it continues now as we are seeing the earthquakes settle in along the west napa fault and rumbling throughout the day. We have seen over 70 so far since the earthquake on sunday morning, expecting to see more of these along the fault. The problem is a lot of the structures, a lot of the damage done to the buildings should we see a stronger ....
This morning where dozens of buildings are too dangerous to enter and ryan, you mentioned that you did not feel these aftershocks. Reporter thats right, michelle. Were talking 70 [ pause ] reporter thats right, were talking 70 of these read tagged buildings. I didnt feel the aftershocks. But some neighbors have. They felt it. It was more faint, obviously, than sundays shaker but still, this is obviously bringing up some memories of what happened on sunday. So well get that reaction for you coming up at 6 30. Showing you this house right here, one of 70 houses here in the city that have been red tagged, inspectors, they have surveyed about 75 of the citys buildings. The buildings deemed redtagged are a mix of businesses and homes. One building was both. The woman we talked to runs her business out of her apartment and is thankful that she has plenty of help. We have a jumpstart on the morning commute for sure out at livermore and coming into pleasanton on the westbound lanes of 580. We havent seen any incidents, no real reasons why. But westbound 580 already up to it was saying 21 minutes. Now its about 19 minutes between the Altamont Pass and 680 but you can see the bulk of slow traffic before you hit vasco road. Bay bridge toll plaza, all clear even though on the other side of the bridge westbound 80 by fremont street there is a stalled box truck blocking one lane. Just some slight delays in a couple of the cash lanes though at the toll plaza itself. Thats your kcbs traffic repo ....
