"My Life" features orchestral harmonies cleverly juxtaposed against agitated rhythmic keyboards. It shouldn't work but it does. The worship-style lyrics read blandly ("On my knees worship you/In the morning dew/Sun shining thru/See flower bloom/There is nothing that we can't do. . .") but when set to such an intriguing track you can just about bear them. Better is "Clean It Up" - "Me out spoken never keepsin it lowkey/I roll wit G.O.D. raise a hand if you know him/The Elohim, the only divinity who's also a trinity/Was buried and rose in three/They pinned him upon that tree/He took all the penalty. . ." Good theology backed by a street-mean sound. I realise that with hip-hop, it is much the sound, the feel, as the words but when they're as strong as this you've got a cut which can really impact those who hear it.
