Biden Proposes to Raise Taxes, Spend $2 TRILLION on Infrastructure (Sekulow Recap) | American Center for Law and Justice

Today on
Sekulow, we discuss President Biden’s newly unveiled infrastructure plan. Of course, he’s planning to pay for it by raising taxes.
White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki talked about this earlier today:
What the President proposed is changes to the corporate – to make the corporate tax code more fair, bring the rate from 21% up to 28%, what it was before former President Trump took office, and dis-incentivize sending jobs overseas; something I think most people, most Americans think we should be doing anyway. If people have alternative proposals, we’re happy to hear them. But let’s talk about them. This is just the beginning of the process.

Podcast: Boys and Girls Club of Greater Haverhill Seeks Matching Donations for 'Back a Kid' Program

The Boys and Girls Club of Greater Haverhill is facing a fundraising challenge.
Throughout the pandemic, the nonprofit has provided additional support for its members, including a full-day learning program, allowing teens and pre-teens to participate in remote learning instead of being isolated at home. To support these efforts, Boys and Girls Club Executive Director Javier Bristol is asking the public to support the “Back a Kid” Fund Matching Challenge, sponsored by the Amelia Peabody Foundation.
“So, we are trying to get that going and really support all the kids in this community. We’ve been doing it all year, so our goal is just to continue to do good and help out the community the best we can. This match is a great way to keep that going, and keep our programs running. So, any support would be really appreciated,” he says.

Is the Stimulus Package Just a Far-Left Wish List? (Sekulow Recap) | American Center for Law and Justice

Today on
Sekulow, we discussed the Senate’s the $1.9 trillion COVID-19 relief plan, which was passed this weekend by the slimmest of partisan margins. Is this is a real stimulus package designed to help Americans or just a Far-Left wish list?
It was slightly different from what the U.S. House of Representatives passed so it now has to go back to the House.
We discussed what we consider good about this COVID-19 relief plan, which is very slim, actually. Of course relief is very important for a lot of people, but sadly helping Americans with direct payments is only a very small part of this horrendous piece of legislation.

NORWAY — As a rural hospital that relies heavily on the generosity of its donors to help improve the level of care we provide for thousands across our region, Stephens gratefully acknowledges a generous $100,000 gift that Norway Savings Bank made recently, to support the $500K Matching Challenge in honor of Bob Bahre. This challenge was shaped by an anonymous donor who pledged to match gifts up to $500,000 that were received by the hospital before December 31, 2020 in Bob’s honor.
