ORWIGSBURG, Pa. (AP) — Two people got into a fight after a road rage confrontation on a Pennsylvania road, and one died after he was stabbed multiple times, state police said.
Police in Schuylkill County said the two were in a sedan and a truck both heading south on Route 61, and they left their vehicles and “engaged in a physical confrontation" Monday in West Brunswick Township.
Police said one produced a knife and stabbed the other multiple times. The victim, identified as 38-year-old George Marcincin of Orwigsburg, was pronounced dead at the scene by the county coroner's office.

MACON, Ga. (AP) — The leader of middle Georgia's largest county said Monday he wants to spend $3 million to replace some cell doors that inmates can force open, as the county seeks to reassure jailers of their safety after an inmate recently stabbed and killed a guard with the guard's knife.
Macon-Bibb Mayor Lester Miller and Bibb County Sheriff David Davis said the money is already including in next year's jail budget, but they hope to make it available sooner, if county commissioners approve.
As many as 300 cells in the oldest part of the jail have doors that can be jammed open, and Davis told local news outlets Monday that up to 40% are malfunctioning at any time.

BELLINGHAM, Wash. (AP) — The Whatcom County Council has unanimously approved changing its indecent exposure law to OK breastfeeding.
It brings a local public nudity ordinance in line with state law and with current social norms, The Bellingham Herald reported.
Councilwoman Carol Frazey said earlier this month that she brought the measure forward to support breastfeeding.
As written, Whatcom County code 9.08.020 regarding unlawful exposure says “It is unlawful for any female to expose or permit public display of her bosom, in the nude or substantially exposed to public view, in any public establishment.”

HONOLULU (AP) — Gov. David Ige on Monday signed legislation that would make Hawaii the latest state to allow some nurses to perform abortions.
Hawaii law previously said only physicians could perform early, in-clinic abortions. But because of a doctor shortage, several smaller islands lack abortion providers which forces residents of those islands to fly to Honolulu if they need the procedure.
“This act will enable people who desperately need reproductive health care services to receive health care from very high quality health care providers, including advanced practice registered nurses, where they need it, when they need it, and ... in their own communities,” Laura Reichardt, the director of the Hawaii State Center for Nursing, said a bill signing ceremony.

MEXICO CITY (AP) — The wife and children of an environmental activist slain in the mountains of southern Mexico have refused to leave their village despite threats against them, Mexico’s Interior Department said Monday.
The department said authorities traveled to the hamlet of Las Conchitas last week to make contact with the wife of Carlos Marqués Oyorzábal.
Marqués Oyorzábal, who helped lead a struggle against illegal logging in the region plagued by criminal and drug gangs, was killed by assailants near Conchitas on April 4 and his body was reportedly hacked up.
