Ust called franklin county. In the heart of the blue ridge mountains. What are your recollections of the Great Depression . Opal im still quite young. I grew up on a farm. And we had no money. But we grew our own food. So we had no problem with food. We grew chickens. Cows and made our own butter, and we had to buy salt and sugar. We sold butter and we sold eggs. We grew our own wheat and corn. So we had flour. Meal, our own flour and which was ground at a mill near us. I dont remember the Great Depression hurt us that much.
