"It's a lot of work, but I'm so much calmer now than I ever was. I don't have any pressures. You truly work for yourself on a farm," says Braun, 64, who bought a cattle farm outside Falmouth in 2000, while anchoring Cincinnati's top-rated newscast with Kit Andrews and meteorologist Tim Hedrick. Rob and wife Jennifer sold their Madeira house and moved to the cattle farm permanently after he left Channel 12 when his contract expired on June 30, 2019.

Braun greets us wearing a white cowboy hat and muddy boots at his grain farm, a second Pendleton County tract along the Licking River he bought eight years ago. The Red Russian kale, lettuce salad mix, carrots, tomatoes, peppers, red green butterhead lettuce, radishes, garlic and other produce they grow with son Robert, and his wife Lindsey, are sold on weekends by the family at Findlay Market.

A new mountain bike skills course that's currently under construction in Cincinnati will allow bikers to learn new tricks all while having fun.Organizers are still in the planning phase of Mount Airy Skills Park. According to the Cincinnati Parks Foundation, it's been proposed that the bike skills course include a self-contained “stacked ring system” of training trails with a beginner loop, an intermediate loop, a children’s riding area and a gathering space. The planned bike skills course will be located in Mount Airy Forest. It will provide beginner-friendly, youth-friendly and adaptive options for new riders to learn and recreate," according to the Cincinnati Off-Road Alliance.CORA announced Tuesday manufacturing company, Progressive Bike Ramps, has to design the first bike skills park within the Cincinnati Parks system. All plans are worked on in cooperation with the City of Cincinnati Parks Department."PBR brings an impressive resume of purpose-built and designed park infrastructure to the project and will collaborate with the community and park users to develop a complete plan for the site and detailed cost estimates for the project," CORA wrote on Facebook.Funds are still being raised for construction of the bike skills course and CORA hopes the community will continue to show interest by contributing. If enough funds are raised, CORA projects the park to be open and ready to ride at some point next year. So far, more than $68,000 has been raised for the skills park. The total cost for the design and build of the park will be around $175,000. Click here to donate.CORA said its drawing inspiration for the skills park and trail from other similar facilities across the nation. The Cincinnati Parks Foundation believes the Mount Airy Skills Park will benefit the youth of the community greatly."A mountain bike skills course enables more access to the sport by removing physical and emotional barriers for would-be bikers, old and young. Many trails in the area require significant barriers to access like advanced technical or physical ability, or traveling to remote areas. The proposed course is a controlled environment where riders can learn the technical skills at slower speeds. Locating the course within Mt. Airy Forest creates easier access for urban communities," the Cincinnati Parks Foundation wrote on its website.Cincinnati Parks is welcoming any feedback on the new park. CINCINNATI (FOX19) - Some parks are being used for a little bit more than getting fresh air. Cincinnati Police Department says its Vice Squad has arrested 21 men for sex crimes at parks since October.
In the past few months, police say nearly two dozen men have been arrested for sex crimes at parks including Mount Airy Forest. Police are now working and taking measures to stop crimes from happening in these areas.
