High pressure and dry air along with the orientation of the jet is keeping skies mainly sunny today with temperatures slightly below normal and winds between 5 and 10 mph out of the west northwest. As we move through the week though, the jet will push back to the north and cooler air will not flow much into southern nevada. This means high temperatures will slowly creep back into the lower 100s. Thursday through sunday will be the warm days within the between 97 and 103 degrees valley wide.
