A lot of firefighters there exhausted in the bay area responding and are head to go the thomas fire in Santa Barbara county where three San Mateo County fire engine strike teams had been deployed and the thomas fire this morning now at 230,000 acres. It is now the fifth largest wildfire in state history and flames are going through the vegetation there that hasnt burned in 100 years near carpinteria. Residents have been ordered to evacuate. We literally jumped into our clothes, grabbed our son. I grabbed some pictures. But because i was doing that, i put my phone down and we just literally ran out the door. Hi everyone much want to get you the latest on this crash that happened this morning. Its breaking news out of hayward. This video just into the live desk. Our reporter was on scene, sent this over. This is an update on the crash involving a chp patrol car, two officers were inside. And the intersection and on ramp at 880 and a street is actually back open. That opened up just a short time ago. Crash happened about 4 30 this morning. The chp was pursuing a truck. Refused to stop. The truck actually went through an intersection. The chp then followed but ended up hitting another car. Were told those officers and victims in the car were hospitalized. But that they only complained of minor pain. Meanwhile, the chp still looking for the truck that led them on a chase. Right now outside. Good morning. Its a spare the air day today. I know not many of you are commuting into work, but a good day to carpool or use mass transit because of the terrible air quality. Going to take you back to the only issue we had, northbound 101 under university. We had a crash on the overpass on university, and someone h the guardrail. A little concrete fell on the main line of northbound 101. That has been cleared. All lanes are open and the Structural Integrity of the overpass is fine. Nothing to be concerned about.
