Capitol Fax.com - Your Illinois News Radar » Because… McConchie?

So in the opinion of Illinois Review to be a Republican means you must be anti-union. The only thing inexcusable that I see here is Illinois Review’s dictate that Republicans must stand against unions. Pathetic. This editorial is filled deep down with such hatred for unions it’s almost…creepy? Imagine being that ideologically bent that you think writing that editorial is a productive thing to do. Republicans, being so viciously anti-union in IL is just a minority-party mindset. Get over it. === There was a time when many Illinois Republican legislators supported organized labor and th...

The ground has shifted below Exelon’s feet. They are no longer in charge as the growing consensus between most lawmakers and the governor make clear. They’ll get something but it won’t be nearly enough. If they have a problem with that, they can take it up with the ICC. This represents a quarter of dividend payments. This is how much they pay out in dividends quarterly. And I want to win the lottery. I sure hope Southern Skeptic is right. If they go all out they would likely be able to Gerrymander a majority in at least one of the chambers, but that would likely create some academically fascinating court challenges to be decided by a U.S. Supreme Court with a conservative majority with multiple Trump appointees. Oh, you and your “facts” The demand for workers is higher than the supply, whatever is a business owner to do? Somebody should look in to this I have a hunch Tap House Grill hasn’t done what the ice cream parlor did. =that’s not a labor shortage, that’s the market functioning. The wages for a harder, riskier job should be higher.= Amen Now…Karma. Easy to make that conclusion from behind the computer. In real life, businesses (especially restaurants and hospitality) can’t find people. They’re making too much sitting on the sidelines. Moreover, why would any restaurant worker g...

Capitol Fax.com - Your Illinois News Radar » Pritzker unveils energy bill

Hold onto your wallets. Despite statements that they were concerned about the “cost” this jacks up prices including a near doubling of the rate cap. And before the proponents claim there will be “savings” - ask your self - if there are truly savings, why the need for a rate cap? And that is just on the RPS standard. CUB should definitely be subject to FOIA Are they subject to open meetings act? I notice that the exelon subsidies look like they’ll more closely match what Pritzker’s study/audit reported than what Labor is backing. Will be an interesting battle of wills.
