All three municipal corporations in Delhi on Thursday lifted the ban imposed on sale, storage of poultry or processed chicken meat after samples taken from markets tested negative for bird flu, officials said.

Hong Kong suspends poultry imports from Poland, S. Korea, Ukraine

HONG KONG (Xinhua): Hong Kong's food safety authority decided on Tuesday (Dec to suspend the import of poultry meat and products from different areas in Poland, South Korea and Ukraine due to the bird flu outbreaks.
The Center for Food Safety (CFS) of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department said the move was made in view of notifications from the General Veterinary Inspectorate of Poland and the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs of South Korea, respectively, about outbreaks of the highly pathogenic H5N8 avian influenza in the Kłodzko district of Dolnośląskie region and Pisz district of Warmińsko-Mazurskie region in Poland, and South Korea's Gurye-gun of Jeollanam-do province, Yesan-gun of Chungcheongnam-do province and Gyeongju-si of Gyeongsangbuk-do province.
