greta: you just her the argument in favor of drilling in anwr. out in other side. democratic congressman has been to anwr and opposes drilling. he went on the record. prudhoe bay which is west of anwr has offshore and onshore drilling that s one area to discuss. the other is anwr to the east where there is a ban on any drilling at all. you support ban. you ve been there. why? well, i guess i d offer three reasons that i think it is unwise for us to move in this direction right now. number one, the fact is, this is just a geologic and economic fact drilling is not going to make appreciable difference for our economy. the reason is, this represents less than half of one percent of the world s oil reserves. according to the energy

Across the republicanway here. there s plenty around here normally. somebody said they saw two birds that adds to the species list. out of the 20 million acres, set aside in anwr there is wilderness. there is refuge area there. are some more beautiful more scenic landscapes to look at. the ten 02 area the 1.5 million acres that have been set aside for the oil and gas development, including the 2,000 acres pleaded for the footprint for the development that s the barren remoteness you are looking at. greta: you don t have a sense of how big it is until you look at it. that is key to consider the 20 million acres, plus the 23 million acres of pretty much adjacent to the national petroleum reserve. tends of millions of acreages, so vast, so remote. people don t understand even what kind of context we are talking about until they get
