Whether or not this deal is good for American Security is not one of those calls. It is not even close. Without this deal, the scenarios that critics warn about happening in 15 years could happen six months from now. By killing this deal, congress would not merely pave irans path towards a bomb, it would accelerate it. What is more likely to happen if congress were to reject this deal is that iran would end up with some form of sanctions relief without having to accept any of the constraints or inspections required by this deal. So in that sense, the critics are right. Walk away from this agreement and you will get a better deal for iran. Lets not mince words.
