'Selena: The Series' Announces Premiere Date for Part 2

Netflix has finally given us fans a premiere date for Selena The Series Part 2, which is going to be the final installment of the two-part series.
It will premiere May 4, more than a week earlier than it was previously announced (Yay!).

Netflix announced on Tuesday that Christian Serratos is Selena in a new series about the Tejano star's life. The streaming service released a trailer for the new show on Tuesday morning with Serratos, the "Walking Dead" actress, as the late singer in "Selena: The Series Part 1 premieres in 2020."Netflix
Selena fans, the last half of "Selena: The Series" has a premiere date. The Netflix show, which shares the story of Queen of Tejano, will return to the platform May 4.
In December, the first half of the show premiered to a flurry of thought pieces and Twitter hot takes. To be fair, the criticism was valid. The wigs were bad and Selena was missing from her own namesake show, which pivoted the Tejano star's ascent into a story about her father A.B. Quintanilla (played to frowny perfection by San Antonio-based Richardo Chavira).

Selena: The Series has been very well-received so far, as it takes a look at the life of music icon Selena Quintanilla-Pérez (played by Christian Serratos).
The Netflix show will return with with the second part of its series on Friday, May 14. Netflix's VP of Latin American Originals, Francisco Ramos made the announcement earlier this week.
"When Selena Quintanilla burst onto the Tejano music scene in the ‘80s, her dream was to make music that celebrated both her Latin roots and her Mexican-American upbringing," Ramos said.
