good morning, happy friday. thanks for joining us. i m betty nguyen. parts of the midwest and south are bracing for another bout with mother nature today. after a series of deadly tornadoes just swept through the region on tuesday and wednesday, a new and even more powerful system is charging up and poised to strike today from the great lakes to the gulf of mexico. a severe thunderstorm watch is already under way in central missouri and forecasters say the dangerous weather will start in the afternoon. kentucky and tennessee are at the greatest risk for tornadoes. the severe weather will move into alabama, mississippi and georgia by the evening. the line of twisters that touched down this week killed 13 people in four states. on thursday, those communities started the process of cleaning up while keeping an eye on this new round of storms. i don t know if we get hit again, it s going to be bad, worse. it s rough. but the people keep on going, they keep on fighting. ....
