Failed Primary: Ondo Governorship Aspirants To Drag APC Committee To Court

Some aggrieved All Progressives Congress (APC) aspirants in the just concluded party primary ahead of the Ondo State governorship election are set to take legal actions against the Governor Usman Ododo-led committee which conducted the election. Three of the sixteen aspirants in the APC’s governorship primary election had petitioned the party over the outcome of the poll, demanding a cancellation of the exercise.  The aggrieved aspirants had alleged that the committee which was headed by the Kogi State Governor, Usman Ododo, was biased in the assignment.

The Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) has stated that its operatives never shot at the pro-Yahaya Bello protesters who stormed its headquarters on Monday in Abuja The Spokesman for the commission, Dele Oyewale said this while responding to a video trending on social media on the allegation of attack by the EFCC operatives on protesters. Oyewale told the News Agency of Nigeria that there was no shooting at any protester at the commission on Monday.

EXCLUSIVE: Ondo Budget Documents Show Governor Aiyedatiwa Sets Aside N5billion To Renovate Daycare Centre, Borrowed N18billion In Three Months

A total of N5billion will be spent by Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s administration in Ondo State for the renovation of Day Care Centre/Creche in 2024, a copy of the state’s 2024 approved budget seen by SaharaReporters has revealed. Part of the amount is expected to be used in buying of toys, babycot walkers and beddings, the document further revealed. Aiyedatiwa had in December 2023 signed the state’s 2024 budget into law. The governor had on 21 December, when he was still the acting governor, presented a budget of N384.53billion to the state House of Assembly.

Chairman Of Victoria Garden City Lagos, Mbelu Found Dead In His Car

The Chairman of Victoria Garden City (VGC) in the Lekki-Ajah area of Lagos State, Gihan Mbelu, has reportedly been found dead in his car. The incident occurred on Friday, April 26, 2024, according to the Lagos State Police Command. The police said the matter was reported to the command by General Manager of the Victoria Garden City Estate. The 42-year-old was found unconscious in his C300 4Matic ash-coloured car around 10am on Friday with the ignition on and the vehicle glass rolled up around the VGC area.

$413,000 Bribery: Court Again Adjourns Arraignment Of APC Chairman, Ganduje, Wife

The Kano State High Court has fixed May 16, 2024 for the scheduled arraignment of the immediate-past governor of Kano State and national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, on bribery charges.  Ganduje, his wife Hafsat and son Umar and five others, who are defendants in the suit, were expected to be arraigned on eight count charges bordering on a $413,000 bribery allegation, diversion and misappropriation of funds to the tune of N1.38billion and abuse of office among other allegations.

Over 250 Passengers Rescued From Capsized Boat By Nigerian Military In Rivers State
