This didnt happen in a metro station. We want to clarify that. This happened near the stadium armory station on the other side of east capitol street. This happened amid the morning rush. Its a transformer fire, were told. This is on the grounds of rfk stadiums parking lot as those rails go underground it wasnt on the rail, but it did affect rail service. We understand no one was injured. Firefighters were on the scene. They had to get under the tracks and get to that transformer to put that fire out. The affect is being felt all over the system.
