Firefighters said they found heavy smoke coming from the home when they arrived. Everyone inside the house was able to safely escape. Crews were on the scene for several hours. The cause of this fire is still under inveveigation. One person died in an overnight fire in des moines. Police were originally called out to a home on the citys Northwest Side for a report of a disturbance. Police say a man inside the home was threatening officers s en they arrived at the home. When police couldnt get the man to come outside, officers saw a fire erupt in the home. After breaking into the home to rescue the man, police say that man resisted the officers attempt to save him. Police ultimately had to leave him behind and run out of the home because of the fire and smoke. Investigators say the fire was set intentionanay. Authorities have not released the victims name. New

Dan noyes is here with an update. I first reported in february, that 2013 was a record year for suicide. 46 people died jumping off the bridge. Ive been overwhelmed with questions so tonight here are answers to your top seven questions. Question one, how will the Suicide Network . Three and a half miles of marine grade wire lining both sides 20 feet down from walkways and 20 feet across. If someone were to jump, impact would injure them. For whatever reason, they dont want to hurt themselves, they want owe die. The thought of proven to be jumping into a net has been effective.
