Tiny Ruins David Mitchell (author of Cloud Atlas and Matrix 4 co-writer!, not the 3Ds guitarist) linked up over lockdown, and got to work on a project they ve aptly titled If I Were A Story And You Were A Song. For this year s WORD Christchurch festival in Ōtautahi the two wordsmiths will perform each other s works in brand new ways, with Mitchell beaming in via video from Ireland for Tiny Ruins-tinged readings, sharing the result of taking five of Fullbrook s most popular tracks and turning the dial from folk song to short fiction. Fullbrook will be holding the fort at Christchurch s James Hay Theatre at the Town Hall, singing new songs inspired by three of Mitchell s unpublished short stories.
