They were able to basically, for a lot of us, replace the terrible images we were fed by isis of the way he was killed. We were able to replace those with his descriptions of how he behaved among his fellow hostages while they were in captivity. One french journalist that was held alongside him, he specifically spoke very movingly in public after james foley died. He talked in some detail about how generous he had been with his fellow captors while in captivity in the terrible circumstances in which they were held.
