The town raised $8,000, the money needed to purchase the flags. then they had to go up on the posts that were owned by a power company out there and apparently, there s a state law that says when you use these posts for anything, there s a $5 charge per post. now, you might think in this case that the company would waive that fee when it comes to honoring a patriot. but in this case, they said they had to stick to state law and they re now charging for the use of those poles. here s what the long island power authority is saying, by the way, they bill me, too. i don t think anyone expected this to apply to flags on poles. if you read the language, there s no way around it. we welcome any amendment that would allow for american flag attachments to our poles without fees. so the people in the town of shelter island took up a collection. they raised $8,000 to put up the flags and i guess a fella by the name of his title is the town superintendent of highways. he said let s just put ....

With our policy, we set our sirens off whenever it enters our county. we had pretty good notice. and as you were you able to communicate to the town what was coming? did you sense the people of your town understood the magnitude of the potential disaster? i think they did. like i said, our local news channels did a real good job. they tracked it from when it started approximately 60 miles southwest of us and they got the news out and i think people were pretty well aware of it. when you say they got the news out, how long how long how much notice did you get? they had it on the tv for, oh, approximately an hour and then probably half an hour before it got to our city, we actually set off our storm sirens and people kind of got their attention and started watching and paying attention. captain, i ve covered some of those tornadoes in oklahoma, f-5 and you see the complete ....

So uh-huh. meantime, moving on, we got new video into fox & friends , this is the scene in texas. i hope i m pronouncing that right. people are now waking up after another deadly round of tornadoes. now to the town of denning, arkansas, a twister nearly a mile wide apparently decimated the small town. two people there are confirmed dead. here s the scene in oklahoma, video of a monster twister tearing through town. seven people were killed in that state. and some in nearby kansas as well. it comes days after one of the deadliest twisters in u.s. history hit joplin, missouri. here s the before and after pictures showing the incredible damage. 122 people confirmed dead but 1500 people are still unaccounted for. when i saw that number, i could not believe that. 1500 people in that small town still unaccounted for. what a travesty going on there. can t get enough warning, you ....
