The SEA Community Help Resource Center gathered 35 to 40 volunteers from St. Augustine to Hastings and made Christmas a happy event for nearly 200 families with the Annual Christmas Basket Giveaway. For years, the United Way, Family Worship Center, a variety of local churches, and the Veterans of Coquina Crossing have provided a Christmas dinner on the Monday before Christmas, providing music, groceries to take home, and Santa giving gifts to smiling children. COVID-19 has forced some changes to the program and made the event a drive-through adaptation of the fun and festive event.
