say, allegedly coming from wikipedia. these first instances of plagiarism you found in the dissertation, how similar were they to what was found in claudine gay's work? is it an apples to apples comparison? >> the first one in terms of styles i would say apples to apples. the first four instances we found, three of them were failures to use quotation marks around direct quotes that had been pulled from other academic works. she works at sort of the intersection of design in the natural sciences and she pulled from articles written by scientists in israel and a book about trees written by a german academic. in three cases without using quotation marks around those -- around those lines that she pulled. and in a fourth case without any in-line citation at all, with no reference to the work she was drawing from. that is what she responded to by apologizing and acknowledging,
