David Hill to conduct Bach's Mass in B Minor in his final performance at Yale

David Hill, conductor of Yale Schola Cantorum and professor (adjunct) at the Yale School of Music and Institute of Sacred Music, will leave Yale at the conclusion of the spring term. His final concert on campus will be a performance of Bach’s Mass in B Minor on April 27 followed by a ten-day U.K. tour with Schola Cantorum and the period orchestra Juilliard415.

Yale Schola Cantorum to perform works by Howells, Buxtehude, and Shaw in "Holy is the True Light"

On Sat. Feb. 17 at 7:30 p.m. in Woolsey Hall, David Hill will conduct Yale Schola Cantorum in a performance of Hymnus Paradisi by Herbert Howells, Jesu meine Freude by Danish Baroque period composer Dieterich Buxtehude, and To the Hands by GRAMMY and Pulitzer Prize winning Yale School of Music graduate, Caroline Shaw M.M. ’07. The concert is free and open to the public.
