F1: Sebastian Vettel should have opted for a sabbatical, says former Ferrari driver

The focus on Sebastian Vettel has been incessant since it was announced in May 2020 that he will leave Ferrari after six years with the famous Italian marque. Former F1 star Gerhard Berger feels it would have been better if he had taken a sabbatical.
After initially pondering his next move with some suggesting retirement or a one-year sabbatical, it was announced prior to the 2020 Tuscan Grand Prix that the German four-time F1 world champion will join the newly anointed Aston Martin Racing Team for the 2021 season.

Ferrari is already pursuing a new engine for 2021
The 2022 engine could be revolutionary if it works
It is no secret that Ferrari has fallen behind massively in engine power and in 2020 had the weakest power unit, after being at the forefront of the power table stakes in 2018 and 2019. Changes in technical regulations at the end of the 2019 season and then a secretive settlement at the beginning of the 2020 season are believed to be at the heart of Ferrari's issues which plummeted it to its worse F1 season in 40 years, with it coming P6. Ferrari team principal Mattia Binotto has already revealed that it is developing an all-new power unit for the 2021 season which will revert it to being more competitive and also help its customer teams Haas and Alfa Romeo perform better. This unit is said to be pretty powerful and will certainly not be the weakest engine as per Binotto, but it will still not be good enough to ensure Ferrari wins the world title.

Scuderia Ferrari F1 driver Charles Leclerc is the latest high-profile athlete to test positive for COVID-19. He made the announcement via social media on Thursday, and assured fans that he is "feeling OK" and is experiencing only "mild symptoms."
Leclerc is currently self-isolating back home in Monaco, but is believed to have been spending time in Dubai over the past few weeks. McLaren driver Lando Norris also tested positive in Dubai last week, and is believed to still be self-isolating in the UAE. It is unclear if the pair had contact with one another.
