Colorado Governor Jared Polis announced the news in a tweet on Tuesday afternoon.
The infected man was said to have no travel history. He is currently in isolation in Elbert County, which lies about 50 miles southeast of Denver.

NEW YORK CITY A New York City health care worker suffered a significant allergic reaction after receiving a coronavirus vaccine, officials said.
The worker received treatment is in stable condition, city health officials announced Wednesday. It s the first reported serious adverse event out of about 30,000 coronavirus vaccine recipients, they said.
Vaccines do have side effects and allergic reactions – while uncommon – are known to occur, a Department of Health and Mental Hygiene statement read. We also know that based on clinical trials and reports of adverse effects in other jurisdictions, reactions such as these are rare but have been reported with the Pfizer vaccine. ....

Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar said Wednesday that approximately 2 million doses of Pfizer s vaccine have been allocated for jurisdictions to use next week. 
If Moderna s Covid-19 vaccine is authorized by the US Food and Drug Administration in the coming days, Azar said the US has authorized nearly 5.9 million doses for next week.
Remember: The Moderna vaccine has not been approved by for emergency use yet, but an advisory committee to the US Food and Drug Administration released a document confirming the vaccine s efficacy on Tuesday. ....

NEW YORK, Dec. 16 (Xinhua) New York City s COVID-19 test positivity rate on a seven-day average went up to 5.71 percent, compared with 5.51 percent one day earlier, Mayor Bill de Blasio tweeted on Wednesday.
There were 195 new hospitalizations and 2,785 new cases of the coronavirus in the city, said de Blasio, adding that The positivity level is too high and it s not going in the right direction. This is your reminder to get tested, wear a mask, and avoid travel this holiday season.
