In honor of its 20th anniversary, Reboot, the Jewish arts and culture nonprofit known for its innovative programming and all-night Shavuot festival Dawn (which was held in San Francisco pre-pandemic), has rebooted its brand with a new logo and website. Rebooting.com highlights the organization’s multimedia projects, events and holiday resources. Led by the Code and Theory agency, the redesign took 1½ years to complete and was funded by the L.A.-based Diane and Guilford Glazer Foundation, the S.F.-based Jim Joseph Foundation and the L.A.-based Righteous Persons Foundation, among others. By Jewish Link Staff | January 13, 2021 MTA announced that Rabbi Ezra Wiener (YUHSB ’89, YC ’93) will join its stellar team of rebbeim for the 2021-2022 school year as rosh beit midrash and maggid shiur. “Our commitment to provide the best possible experience for our talmidim drives every decision we make,” said Head of School Rabbi Joshua Kahn. “Shiur is the core of this experience, where talmidim develop lifelong relationships with their rebbeim and become motivated to push themselves to learn beyond the classroom. We are excited to welcome Rabbi Wiener, who will enhance these opportunities for our talmidim.” Rabbi Wiener joins MTA after 21 years of serving as rebbe, mashgiach ruchani, director of Israel guidance and most recently as Judaic studies principal at Torah Academy of Bergen County. Youngstown native Michael J. Moritz Jr. has worked on his share of Broadway musicals. Now, he’s working on an imaginary one, or at least a musical that is following a very nontraditional path to its existence. Moritz is producing the music mixes for a concert version of “Ratatouille: The TikTok Musical,” a crowd-sourced musical born on social media. The concert will debut at 7 p.m. Friday at ratatousical.com, and it only will be available through Monday for a minimum donation of $5. Moritz said he has crews in on both coasts and in Europe working to complete the project in time for that premiere. ....
