जोशीमठ-मलारी हाईवे रेणी गांव के समीप करीब 20 मीटर तक क्षतिग्रस्त हो गया है। यहां रविवार रात को हुई मूसलाधार बारिश के बाद सड़क क्षतिग्रस्त हो गई है, जिससे नीती घाटी के गांवों का देश-दुनिया से संपर्क टूट गया है।
ऋषि गंगा नदी का जल स्तर भी बढ़ गया है, जिससे क्षेत्र के ग्रामीण डरे और सहमे हुए हैं। हाईवे के क्षतिग्रस्त होने से चीन सीमा क्षेत्र में सेना की आवाजाही भी बाधित हो गई है। ऋषि गंगा पर हाल ही में बीआरओ ओर से स्थापित बैली ब्रिज को भी नदी से खतरा पैदा हो गया है।
वहीं बदरीनाथ राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग कौडियाला-व्यासी के बीच बंद हो गया है। जिससे मलेथा और देवप्रयाग से ट्रैफिक टिहरी रूट पर डाइवर्ट किया गया है। मलबा आने की वजह से मार्ग सुबह से बंद है। पीडब्ल्यूडी और राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग के अनुसार रोड सोमवार देर शाम तक खुलेगी।
राजधानी दून व आसपास के इलाकों में रविवार को मौसम का अजीबोगरीब मिजाज देखने को मिला। मौसम के बदले मिजाज के चलते राजधानी के रायपुर, राजपुर रोड, जाखन, नेहरू कॉलोनी, फौव्वारा चौक, नेहरूग्राम, आजाद कॉलोनी, आईएसबीटी, माजरा, जोगीवाला, डोभाल चौक समेत कुछ इलाकों में जहां तेज हवाओं के साथ झमाझम बारिश हुई, वहीं बसंत विहार, प्रेमनगर, इंदिरानगर, कैंट, जीएमएस रोड जैसे इलाकों में बूंदाबांदी तक नहीं हुई।
राजधानी के जिन इलाकों में तेज हवाओं के चलते बारिश हुई, वहां कई पेड़ टूटकर सड़कों पर भी गिरे, जिसके चलते यातायात बाधित रहा। आखिरकार मौके पर पहुंचे एसडीआरएफ और पुलिसकर्मियों ने पेड़ को हटाकर यातायात बहाल कराया।
दूसरी ओर मौसम विज्ञानियों का कहना है कि सोमवार को कुमाऊं क्षेत्र के पिथौरागढ़ और बागेश्वर जैसे जिलों में भारी बारिश की पूरी संभावना है। वहीं राज्य के अन्य जिलों में तेज गर्जना के साथ आकाशीय बिजली गिरने और तेज बौछार की संभावना जताई गई है।
मौसम विज्ञानियों के मुताबिक राज्य के मैदानी इलाकों में 30 से 40 किमी प्रति घंटे की रफ्तार से तेज हवाएं चलेंगी। देहरादून व आसपास के इलाकों में आंशिक रूप से बादल छाए रहेंगे, कुछ क्षेत्रों में तेज गर्जना के साथ ही बारिश की भी संभावना जताई गई है।
