Massachusetts prisoners had a special chance to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. The Department of Corrections (DOC) said in a memo that if they receive all doses, watch and read instructional materials and send a form for acceptance, they could shorten their sentences.

A Missouri state representative and assistant physician are allegedly running a fraud scheme of fake stem cell use in administering treatments including covid-19 were charged in a 20-count indictment.
Prosecutors in Missouri s Western District say that Patricia Tricia Ashton Derges referred to her falsely marketed fake stem cell therapy as an amazing treatment that stands to provide a potential cure to Covid-19 patients that is safe and natural. Patricia runs three Ozark Valley Medical Clinic sites. 
As stated on the grand jury indictment unsealed Monday, Patricia Ashton Derges, 63, reportedly offered so-called regenerative care to clients who came to the Ozark Valley Medical Clinic searching for help for different diseases. ....

Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos will depart his post later this year, handing the helm over to the company s top cloud executive, Andy Jassy. Bezos will become Amazon s Executive Chairman of the Board.
The transition will take effect, the company said, in the second half of 2021.
Bezos, 57, created Amazon in 1994 and has since turned the one-time online bookstore into a global mega-retailer in various categories, from electronics to food to streaming. In January of last year, under Bezos leadership, Amazon reached a $1 trillion market cap; it is now worth more than $1.6 trillion.

UN Security Council Fails To Agree on a Joint Statement Condemning the Myanmar Coup

The UN Security Council disagreed on a joint statement condemning the coup in Myanmar but said talks would continue.
The 15-member council considered a UK-drafted statement wherein the envoy of the UN Security Council to Myanmar said that the country should collectively send a strong signal in favor of democracy.
The virtual meeting followed Aung San Suu Kyi s arrest and other top politicians by the military in a series of early morning raids on Monday. Armed Forces Leader Min Aung Hlaing took control after. 
The army stated that its coup was legitimate and was vowed to hold new elections. Arguing with the poll last November was illegitimate without evidence. For one year, a state of emergency will remain in effect, they added.  ....
