How the Biden-Harris Migration ‘Fix’ Would Throw Good Billions After Bad The journey of Central American migrants to the U.S. border – a perilous trip across thousands of miles of mountains and deserts – starts in places like the dry corridor in western Honduras. Corrupt Honduran officials have invested too little in stabilizing or modernizing the region, allowing violent gangs to extort families. Recent droughts and hurricanes have created widespread hunger. “It’s been one crisis after another,” says Conor Walsh, the Honduras representative for Catholic Relief Services in Tegucigalpa, the capital. “Many people have already migrated and others are evaluating whether they can stay on their farms.” ....
℘℘℘ The words were painted high on a whitewashed brick wall, just above a red and green Mayo flag flapping in the wind. MELLETT’S DRINKING EMPORIUM ESTB 1797 “Is it true?” I ask my friend, a lifelong Swinford resident. “Mellett’s has been in business since 1797?” “Nearly as old as the town itself,” he tells me as I push the pub door open. “And the same family has owned it the whole time.” I’ve been visiting Swinford – and Mellett’s – for more than two decades, but somehow I was just now appreciating how long both have been around. Photo courtesy of Wyss Institute at Harvard University Sixteen million Americans 8 percent of the adult population suffer persistent back pain. Many more visit their doctor for the occasional twinge. According to a 2018 study in JAMA, low back pain is one of the most common reasons given for prescribing opioids. That’s fueling the opioid crisis and there’s little evidence the powerful painkillers even help. ....

A new campaign from Clemenger BBDO Sydney introduces the brand platform ‘You can’t resist the call of Smith’s’. The film depicts two hikers attracting enough help to scare away a bear with just one bite of a Smith’s chip. It is the biggest investment from Smiths in its brand equity in three years “We’re excited to launch this new brand platform and we couldn’t resist saying yes to the playful, engaging nature of the spot. It really captures just how irresistible Smith’s chips are in bringing Aussies together,” said Alessia Taddei, Smith’s senior marketing manager. ....
