Arthur Sadoun has said Publicis Groupeâs recovery from the pandemic is happening faster than expected and it should recover all of last yearâs revenue decline in 2021, rather than 2022. But he is âextremely worriedâ about the ongoing impact on the mental health of staff after nearly 18 months of Covid.
Sadoun, Publicis chief executive and chairman since 2017, said in an interview that Q2 2021 was a âvery strange quarterâ because 17.1% organic revenue growth followed a dramatic 13% plunge a year earlier during the worst of lockdown.Â
For the full year, he predicted 7% growth in 2021 versus a 6.3% decline in 2020 â an upgrade on previous expectations.
