Russia Confirms They Participated In 2020 Election After Constantly Hearing It Most Important Election Of Lifetime
MOSCOW Responding to allegations that the country interfered with the outcome of the U.S. presidential race last year, Russia confirmed that they only participated in the 2020 election after constantly hearing it was the most important election of our lifetimes. “You can only hear people exclaim that absolutely everything is at stake in the 2020 election for so many years before you decide that you shouldn’t skip out on something so important,” said Russian president Vladimir Putin, adding that if the election was going to determine the future of America’s place in the world for years to come like so many pundits and politicians claimed, then it wouldn’t be right for Russia not to make their voice heard. “We were a little skeptical at first, because we remember getting involved in the 2016 election after people were calling that one the most important ....

Oppn misleading farmers with unrestrained statements: Kailash Choudhary

Union Minister of State for Agriculture Kailash Choudhary Sunday assailed the Opposition over the ongoing farmers protest, alleging they were misleading farmers with unrestrained statements .
Thousands of farmers have been protesting at Delhi borders against the three recent Central laws on agricultural reforms, claiming these legislations will remove the safety net of MSP and leave them at the mercy of big corporates.
Opposition parties have supported these protests, even though the government has been saying that these laws will benefit farmers by freeing them of the clutches of the middlemen and ushering in new technology in the sector.
Speaking at an event here Sunday, MoS Choudhary said that the farm laws would bring change in the lives of farmers. ....

Police reform bill facing hurdles to passage in U.S. Senate

In an update to last week’s Black Press USA op-ed on the George Floyd Justice in Police Act, the federal police reform bill was passed by the U.S. House of Representatives late Wednesday and now goes to the Senate, where it faces stiffer opposition.
The bill is the most ambitious effort in decades to overhaul policing nationwide. Moderate Democrats fear it will reignite a debate they say hurt them during last fall’s elections.
“No one ran on ‘defund the police,’ but all you have to do is make that a political weapon,” said Rep. Henry Cuellar, a moderate Texas Democrat who has pushed for more police funding. ....

Pamplin Media Group - Letters: Move young people to front of vaccine line

Pamplin Media Group
March 11 2021
Readers express opinions on COVID-19 vaccines, GOP walkouts, the old Republican Party and possible land-use changes.
I m writing to express my complete agreement with Richard Botteri s Feb. 24 letter to the editor, concerning who should be eligible to receive vaccine.
I am also a senior, over age 70, and I also feel that we elders should have lower priority than younger people with underlying health conditions and front-line workers.
We have had, as Mr. Botteri points out, the opportunity to live our lives have careers, children/grandchildren, the chance to make a contribution to society and to enjoy life. If there is not sufficient vaccine to give to everyone right now, those young people, who still have a life ahead of them, should be first in line. ....
