Memorial Day is coming up and despite gas prices being higher this weekend than they have been in seven years, people are ready to travel.
With COVID-19 restrictions lifting across the country, and vaccination rates climbing in most places, AAA Travel expects more than 37 million people to travel 50 miles or more from home today through May 31. This is an increase of 60 percent from last year, when only 23 million traveled- the lowest on record since AAA began recording in 2000. 
AAA is also reporting that Pennsylvania currently has some of the highest gas prices in the nation, and if that is putting a damper on your travel plans, keep in mind that nearly all business restrictions imposed due to COVID-19 will be lifted in the state, allowing restaurants, bars, stores and gyms to operate at full capacity. ....
