Florida is taking steps toward stricter voting laws.
On Monday, the state passed a bill making it even more challenging for people to vote. The GOP-led Senate passed S.B. 90 with a 23-17 vote, which restricts giving voters inline water among other new standards. Voting activists are saying the bill is geared toward voter suppression, but Republicans say differently, per ....

Trump Wins In Michigan

Trump Wins In Michigan
I have said several times that I don’t know whether the Democrats stole the 2020 election, but I do know that they tried hard to steal it. Their efforts included relaxation of voting standards, especially relating to mail-in voting, wherever they had Democratic Secretaries of State. Typically these changes to voting procedures, not enacted by state legislatures–likely in violation of the Constitution–involved waiving a statutory requirement of witness signatures to verify the identity of the person who mailed in the ballot, or otherwise made it more difficult to check the validity of mailed ballots. ....

Value-Based Foreign Policy, Yet … – Watching America

Posted on March 10, 2021.
Given the current state of American democracy, it is unrealistic to say that moral superiority is the United States’ guiding foreign policy principle.
Usually, established doctrines characterize the foreign policy principles and strategies of U.S. presidents. For example, the essence of former President George W. Bush’s Bush Doctrine, which developed post-9/11, was to unilaterally assert U.S. national security interests even, if necessary, through military incursion. The Iraq and Afghanistan wars arose from this doctrine. Former President Donald Trump’s “America First” doctrine essentially sought to unilaterally advance the economic interests of the United States, with little distinction between allied and hostile nations. What will the Biden Doctrine be? We will have a better understanding in the coming months when the president’s national security strategy is established. Based on statements made by the new president and his foreign ....
