This gives this country’s largest Marxist party (90,000 members) access to key Democratic Party decision-makers, sensitive party documents, and key donor lists. It will also energize the far left in a key “swing state.”
Despite its protests to the contrary, the DSA is a communist organization. The organization is formally aligned with Communist Party USA, Liberation Road, and the Committees of Correspondence for Democracy and Socialism all of which work closely with the Chinese Communist Party against the interests of the United States.

The Democratic Socialists of America an organization that Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) belongs to has called on Democrat New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo to resign following claims by three women that he sexually harassed them.
Cuomo, who is in his third term in office, is now getting pushback from people who share his leftist worldview but seemingly draw the line on sexual misconduct.

New York Postreported on the development:
“In light of the multiple allegations of sexual harassment by Governor Cuomo, the NYC Chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America is calling for the immediate resignation and impeachment of Governor Andrew Cuomo. We stand with Charlotte Bennet [sic], Lindsey Boylan, and Anna Ruch, who have spoken out about Governor Cuomo’s harassment,” the group said in a statement issued on Tuesday, referring to the three women who have spoken out. ....

Socialist Alternative’s Kshama Sawant joins the DSA: The Democratic Party politics of the pseudo-left
Last week, Kshama Sawant, a leader of Socialist Alternative and member of the Seattle City Council, announced that she was joining the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) in the US. Sawant’s declaration followed a December 15 statement by Socialist Alternative announcing that it would be sending a significant section of its membership into the DSA.

Sawant said that her decision was motivated by the need for “a mass working class party, a stronger labor movement, and victorious struggles in our ongoing fight against the billionaire class.” She added, “In my view, to move forward we need to advance the Marxist ideas that will be necessary to win both immediate gains in the present crisis and a final victory over capitalism’s exploitation and oppression.” ....

Jacobin magazine downplays Democrats’ impeachment debacle
On February 13, the US Senate voted to acquit former President Donald Trump for “incitement of insurrection” in connection with the attempted coup of January 6, marking a new milestone in the breakdown of American democracy.
Jacobin magazine, affiliated with the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), has had next to nothing to say about the impeachment debacle and even less to say about the coup attempt and the ongoing threat of right-wing violence.
One article appeared on its site on the topic of impeachment on January 9, the day that impeachment proceedings began in the House of Representatives: “What Trump’s Impeachment Could Mean.” The article did not even mention the January 6 coup attempt. ....
