Together Again EAST LIVERPOOL John M. Bowers, Sr., of East Liverpool, passed away suddenly Tuesday morning, February 16, 2021 at his home. He was 76. Born in Columbus, January 9, 1945, he was the son of the late Floyd Cecil Bowers and Mary Angela Tomlison Bowers. A resident of this area most of his life, he worked at the former Crucible Steel until 1982 and then worked at Neo Industries in total over 49 years of service. During his days in retirement John enjoyed his time working on and rebuilding his custom automobiles, boats and trains. Charter boat fishing on Lake Erie was also a passion of his. Recently, John worked at Hill International and Busy Beaver in Calcutta. A member of St. John Lutheran Church, at one time he was associated with the Ohioville Volunteer Fire Department. ....
Blaine H. âBuckâ McIntosh PITTSBURGH, Pa. Blaine H. “Buck” McIntosh, 75, of Wellsville passed away Saturday, February 13, 2021 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pa. Buck was born in Wellsville on May 26, 1945 a son of the late John and Vivian (Cook) McIntosh. He was a 1963 graduate of Wellsville High School. Buck was a veteran of the Army proudly serving his country in the Vietnam War and was recognized as a sharpshooter. Buck worked for 40 years starting at Crucible Steel and later retiring from J & L Steel where he worked as a motor inspector and electrician. He was a member of Southern Ruritan Club and was currently serving as their vice president. He was also a life member of the NRA and a founding and life member of Columbiana County Rod and Gun Club. Feb 6, 2021 EAST LIVERPOOL Mary Grace (Galloway) Johnson, 73, passed away in the morning hours of Thursday, February 4th, 2021 while in the loving presence of her family. Grace was born in East Liverpool on November 6th, 1947 to Raymond and Mary (Butler) Galloway. She graduated East Liverpool High School in 1966. She married her husband, James Matthew Johnson, on March 13,1968. Grace worked in numerous places including Frank’s Carry Out, ABC Carryout, and American General Life Insurance before deciding to go back to school later in life and earn her nursing degree at Kent State University. She then worked at UPMC Hospital, then as a Home Health Nurse, followed by Trinity Hospital, and finally retiring at the East Liverpool City Hospital. Grace enjoyed riding motorcycles with her husband, and travelled all over the Europe, and 49 states. ....
Feb 1, 2021 MORRISTOWN, N.J.– Bradley David Farnsworth, 36, of Max Drive passed away Friday, Jan. 29, 2021 at his residence at 7:16 a.m. following complications with a heart condition. Born Feb. 12, 1984, he was the son of Brian D. Farnsworth of East Liverpool and of Lyneah Breskvar Huff of Apollo Beach, Fla. Bradley was raised in East Liverpool the first 18 years of his life, then he moved to Cleveland for college and after graduation he settled in New Jersey for the last five years. A graduate of Case University in Cleveland with a master’s degree in electrical engineering, he was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church in East Liverpool. He was the valedictorian of his graduating class at East Liverpool High School, as well as being the valedictorian of his bachelors’s degree class at Case where he was awarded the President’s Award for being the outstanding graduating student. EPSON scanner image NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE Benjamin J. Danzo joined his parents and two brothers in Heaven on January 6, 2021. His passing was due to complications of COVID-19. He was born in East Liverpool, OH on November 24, 1941, the son of Nellie and Antonio Danzo. Upon graduation from St. Aloysius School, he followed a call from God and enrolled in the Seminary of the Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers (Catholic Foreign Mission Society of America). In 1959, after two-and-a-half years at Seminary, Ben returned to East Liverpool to graduate from East Liverpool High School. Always striving for more education, he attended and graduated from the Ohio Valley Business College, which prepared him to work in the office at Crucible Steel in Midland, PA. To pursue his love of science, Ben left the work force and enrolled in the College of Steubenville, from where he graduated in 1965.
