WellSpark Health, an affiliate of ConnectiCare, will add nearly 290 jobs with state assistance, as it helps other businesses save more than $1,600 annually in health costs for each person they employ by helping them stay on track with regimens for chronic conditions like diabetes.
WellSpark currently has 70 employees in Farmington, with the EmblemHealth subsidiary managing the Health Enhancement Program offered to state employees that keeps track of doctor’s checkups, dentist visits and eye exams among other tasks. ....

On a day when Connecticut’s COVID positivity rate was the lowest it’s been in weeks, Gov. Ned Lamont announced a reopening plan Thursday that will allow restaurants and most businesses to return to full capacity this month.
But masks and social distancing will still be required.
Starting March 19, capacity limits will be lifted at all restaurants, retail stores, personal services facilities, houses of worship, museums, aquariums, zoos, office buildings and other similar businesses.
Commercial gatherings like wedding halls will be limited to 100 people indoors and 200 outside. Private residential gatherings will be limited to 25 people inside and 100 outside. ....

BRIDGEPORT Picture a warm summer evening with thousands of music lovers packing the new amphitheater to enjoy their favorite musical act. They sing along, cheer, dance, sip cold local beer and munch on concessions from area vendors.
That scene, despite the year-old global coronavirus pandemic, is what the men behind Bridgeport’s 5,700-seat outdoor concert venue are envisioning as they ready to finally open after missing the 2019 and 2020 seasons.
But is it realistic?
“It’s not about us. It’s about the entertainer,” Saffan said Thursday. “Live Nation will book entertainers based on a certain level of income they can expect.” And that talent will not tour without full capacity crowds, Saffan said. ....
