수요 호조 및 제품 경쟁력에 힘입어 코오롱인더스트리의 2분기 실적이 날았다.
300 0.4%)스트리는 올해 2분기 연결기준 영업이익이 전년 동기 대비 181.8% 늘어난 1036억원, 매출액은 25.7% 늘어난 1조1841억원이라고 3일 공시했다.
코오롱인더스트리 분기 영업이익이 1000억원을 넘긴 것은 10년 만으로 산업자재, 화학, 패션 등 전 부문이 고른 호실적을 낸 것으로 파악된다.
코오롱인더스트리 관계자는 "2분기 실적은 글로벌 경쟁력과 폭 넓은 고객 네트워크 기반 위에 이뤄졌다"며 "매출은 자동차 소재의 경쟁력 강화, 전자재료용 에폭시 시장 호황, 캐주얼 및 골프 관련 브랜드 약진으로 전년 동기 대비 큰 폭 증가했다"고 설명했다.
이어 "영업이익도 산업자재와 화학부문 이익 증가세가 지속되고 패션 부문 영업이익이 큰 폭 개선됐다"고 덧붙였다.
부문별로 살펴보면 산업자재부문은 5G 케이블용/초고성능 타이어(UHPT)용 아라미드 제품의 높은 수요가 계속되고 전기차용 고부가 타이어코드를 포함한 타이어코드 시장의 수요가 전반적으로 상승하여 높은 실적을 달성했다.
특히 미래 신성장 동력으로 삼고 있는 PEM(수소연료전지용 고분자전해질막), 수분제어장치 등 수소연료전지 기반 신사업 분야의 실적 상승과 자동차소재사업 종속회사들의 실적 개선으로 실적 호조세는 중장기적으로 이어질 것으로 보고 있다.
화학부문은 타이어용 석유수지의 판매가 증가하고 견고한 고객 네트워크를 바탕으로 한 수첨수지사업의 매출 증가가 실적을 견인했다. 세계 최고의 경쟁력을 갖춘 5G향 전자재료용 에폭시수지사업의 호황도 지속돼 전분기 대비 큰 폭의 실적 상승을 달성했다.
패션부문은 코로나19의 여파에도 불구하고 여가활동과 관련된 고객들의 소비심리가 회복되면서 골프 및 아웃도어 제품이 실적 상승을 주도했다. 온라인 매출 비중 증가로 유통비용 구조도 개선돼 영업이익은 전년 동기 대비 두 배 이상 큰 폭으로 증가했고 캐쥬얼 및 골프 관련 브랜드(WAAC, G/Fore 등)를 중심으로 수요 증대가 계속돼 실적 상승세가 가속화될 것으로 전망하고 있다.
