Dylan Raymond Shannon Corbin’s assaults left the woman with a split lip, bruising to her left and right side of her face, a ricked neck area, bruising on her left arm, a graze to her lower back and bruising to her left eye. Corbin, 31, had previously pleaded guilty to two charges of assault on a person in a family relationship, theft out of a car and assaults with intent to injure when he appeared for sentencing before Judge Joanna Maze at the Timaru District Court on Tuesday. ....

(File) A Timaru man who has pleaded guilty to shoplifting at supermarkets and hardware stores has been sentenced to intensive supervision and community detention. Benjamin Gladstone Scott-Stewart, 29, appeared for sentencing before Judge Joanna Maze at the Timaru District Court on Tuesday, having pleaded guilty to three counts of shoplifting and one count of wilful trespass at an earlier hearing. According to the summary of facts, Scott-Stewart’s offending occurred between 2019 and 2021 and included entering Mitre 10 Mega in Ashburton and taking items to the value of $3263 on July 11, 2020. ....
