LA Clippers keep it close but fall 109-101 to Suns in Phoenix

The LA Clippers dropped their second game in a row, but were in this game throughout, at least, as they lost 109-101 to the Phoenix Suns Wednesday at Phoenix Suns Arena.
The Suns maintain their lead over the Clippers in the Western Conference, with LA now two games behind Phoenix in 3rd place.
Kawhi Leonard was scratched pregame after some hope he could feature, so Ty Lue went with Reggie Jackson, Terance Mann, Paul George, Marcus Morris Sr. and Ivica Zubac in the Clippers starting five.
The teams were pretty even in the opening quarter, Phoenix leading the way but LA staying within touching distance as they eased into the game. The Suns pulled away a bit at the end of the 1st quarter, 39-31, but George had a terrific opening frame, scoring 15 points to pace the Clippers. ....

The family of a Fair Acres Geritratic Center resident who died of pneumonia associated with COVID-19 in June has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the facility and Delaware County. The complaint, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania by attorney Stephen J. Pokiniewski on behalf of Christopher Beaty Jr. and Nichole Garcia, alleges the county failed to design or enact policies to limit the spread of the virus in the county-run facility, leading to the death of 63-year-old Christopher Beaty Sr. after he was exposed to COVID-19 through his roommate. “The matter has been referred to our insurance company for review,” said county Solicitor Bill Martin. “The county takes any such allegations very seriously and will review the facts to make sure that Fair ....
