Arizona Judge Tosses Another Legal Bid To Overturn Election Results

PHOENIX Yet another bid to overturn Arizona s election returns has been swatted down by a judge.
The latest ruling came Tuesday as Pinal County Superior Court Judge Kevin White ruled that Staci Burk lacked the legal standing to challenge the conduct of the election. White said only people who actually were registered to vote in the 2020 race can complain about its conduct and the results.
Burk admitted she was not registered.
She blamed that on county election officials who she claims illegally canceled her registration. And even if that were not the case, Burk contends that anyone who is eligible to vote registered or not has the right to sue over election returns. ....

Arizona Judge Tosses Election Suit, Saying Plaintiff ‘Lacks Standing’
A judge in Arizona tossed an election lawsuit challenging the results of the Nov. 3 election in the state.
Pinal County Superior Court Judge Kevin D. White dismissed a suit filed by former Gilbert Public Schools Board President Staci Burk on Tuesday morning.
“Plaintiff by her own admission was not registered to vote for the 2020 general election. She therefore does not qualify to contest the election,” White wrote in his order. He said that White “is not authorized” to bring this lawsuit. “She lacks standing to challenge an election in which she did not vote and could not vote,” he added. ....

PHOENIX A Pinal County Superior Court judge on Tuesday jettisoned a lawsuit claiming widespread election fraud in Arizona, saying the plaintiff had no standing to challenge the state s election results because she was not registered to vote.
Judge Kevin White also said former Gilbert Public Schools Board President Staci Burk had waited too long to file her complaint, and allowing it to proceed would circumvent the strong public policy supporting prompt resolution of election cases.
Burk filed the case Dec. 7, seven days after state officials certified Arizona s Nov. 3 results. Voters have a five-day window to bring election contests. ....
